The world of face masks is like the world of lipsticks: every day of the week is different. Find out how they differ and how they are used
There is nothing we can do, we are losing face masks. With its varied scents, textures and effects, we can hardly do without them. Moreover, they are sold in convenient single-dose containers.
And the fact is that all cosmetic companies have chosen to develop original formats for face masks that attract the attention of those who want to show the doll's face without visiting a beauty center. Because who has the time (and money) for beauty treatments once a week?
Asian women have a slight edge in this area, but little by
little we seem to be joining a healthy trend of spending 15 minutes on facials
and relaxing body and mind. Delightful aromas, sparkling formulas, gel-like
textures, refreshing clays ... who can resist! More about face mask
Apply face masks
They are a recent innovation in terms of applying face masks
and are intended for home use. The great thing about this stick format is that
it is easy to apply to the face, which allows us to dispense the required
amount of product in a specific area without getting our hands (or any other
instrument) dirty or wasted. Thanks to this stick mask format, masks with
different functions can be combined at points of the face with different needs.
Olay or Yes to are brands that have masks in sticker format.
LED Masks
A format that has nothing to do with everything else that we
will find in beauty salons, although we will also find domestic versions. They
use technology developed by NASA based on low-wavelength LED light to treat
marks and scars. Depending on the light used, different treatments are used:
acne (blue), purifying and detoxifying (green), anti-redness (yellow),
anti-aging (purple), etc.
Take off your mask
This type of face mask is widely used by women who want to
remove impurities and blackheads from their skin. What makes them special is
that although they have a gel-like texture, upon application, they harden until
a thin gelatinous film forms, which is immediately removed, taking the
impurities away from the skin. They are used weekly and removed by removing the
film from the corners of the face.
Tip: Before applying the exfoliating mask, apply a steam
bath to your face to open the pores. If you prefer, do this after your shower
to take advantage of the steam. This will give you better results.
As part of these masks, black masks have gained particular
popularity. The original is made from Moroccan Ghassoul clay, although the
market is filled with many versions that are simply "peelable" black
masks.
